About CPC Print Fair

The Contemporary Printmaking Collective (CPC) is a group of upstate artists whose primary art form is the hand-pulled print. These prints include etchings, woodcuts, lithographs, monotypes and monoprints and depict a range of imagery from realistic regional landscapes to colorful abstractions exploring movement and line. The Print Fair will be an opportunity to talk directly to the artists and to better understand the original work of art you are buying.

The CPC is having an international print exchange exhibition entitled Confluence. The Exhibition Opening is this October 6th from 6-9pm at the Greenville Center for the Creative Arts, 25 Draper Street in the West End at the Brandon Mill.
The print exchange between these two printmaking groups allows for the CPC to have a reciprocal exhibit in Taipei, Taiwan where our works will be displayed along side of their works. this is a unique opportunity for our members to exhibit internationally in the capitol of Taiwan, ROC.
Twenty-two CPC members will be exhibited along with twenty-two printmakers from the Ideas Creation Studio in Taipei, Taiwan. Check out their Face Book site.
Framing for this exhibition was in part funded by a grant from the Metropolitan Arts Council.
On October 17th the GCCA will host a Walk & Talk for the Confluence Exhibition. Several artists will speak about the works of both groups. Freda Sue will address the Ideas Creation Studio works. Discussion will be on the similarities and differences in the use of the media and subject matter of the artists. The public is encouraged to attend and ask questions about the works in the exhibition.
